This year proves to be another challenge for people living Green. The world is catching on and every single person counts no matter where you are. Everything we can do to positively improve our lifestyle will come back to us in abundance. Changing outdated light bulbs, not only saves money, yours, but reduces energy consumption. We are the custodians of this gift we call Earth and it is up to us to protect it fervently. Just checking the air pressure in tires on your car helps, it’s that simple. Reuse, reclaim, or recycle should be our intent when we purchase products that will impact the environment. Now when you use We Be Soap Nuts to do your wash you are really doing your part by eliminating the plastic containers that need to be disposed of and are made from petroleum, not to mention eliminating pouring those cleaners down the drain into your septic tank or the municipalities. We Be Soap Nuts are all natural and organic and is gentle on clothing as well as you septic tank. Let’s make 2010 the year the world comes clean, so to speak.
Happy “Green” New Year
January 17th, 2010Old Dog ;-)
August 26th, 2009I’m a firm believer in continuing learning all through one’s life time and that knowledge is more precious than any possessions. If we close our mind to bettering ourself then we loose.
I know, what does this have to do with We Be Soap Nuts?
Well we have been mislead all of these centuries to believe that man made laundry detergents are better than natural cleaners. Well I’ve got news for you, the guys and girls in the white lab coats are trying there hardest to duplicate the very properties that are found naturally in Soap Nuts. and they come close, some times. The crux of this is, they, most often, get only part of the equation. Man made detergents don’t “do it all”. We Be Soap Nuts, actually has natural surfactant properties that is the active ingredient that breaks the bond between the threads in your clothing and, let’s say deposits, as the detergents you use are leaving behind these deposits so you can wear them or sleep on them, NICE!
Well, with that said, We Be Soap Nuts has additional properties such as anti-microbial and anti-fungal, which means if you accidentally, and I know this has never happened,
forget the laundry in the washer over night you don’t have to rewash the load just put them in the dryer because the nasty little microbes are reduced to a level that they have no oder causing effect, wow! The first few times you do laundry with We Be Soap Nuts check out the wash cycle just before the rinse cycle, wow, again. The water is nasty, for a lack of better words. A lot of the murkiness you will see is the old deposits left behind by the very detergent you’ve been trying to clean with. The more you know is that knowledge thing I mentioned earlier in this little revelation. I know there are skeptics and they are stuck in there ways but it is worthy of trying as your family and you deserve the very best care.
Scent or no Scent
August 12th, 2009When you are sensitive to air born scents you tend to avoid them whenever possible, right? Well when you wash your laundry with We Be Soap Nut this is not an issue as there are no added scents just clean and fresh, hung out side on the line scent right from the dryer!
Regular laundry detergents claim to have “That Fresh new Scent”, well, what you are exposing yourself to are VOC’s, commonly known as Volatile Organic Compounds and irritate the nerves in you sinuses. This in turn is interpreted as an association to a known scent by your brain.
Just because it smells like flowers doesn’t mean it’s good for you!
Why the science lesson?
Your laundry , clothes, towels and beading have been, in simple terms, contaminated with deposits and residue left behind by your laundry soap and the chemicals are in contact with the largest organ of your body, your skin.
Why should you change the way you do laundry? This is easy, do it for your family, and, yes, yourself.
We Be Soap Nuts takes pride in providing you with a better way to take care of your loved ones.
Juried Arts and Crafts Show
August 10th, 2009At our recent Arts and Craft Show we enjoyed Northern Michigan’s beautiful sites and Lake Huron. The people were warm and friendly. We spent 3 days sharing our knowledge of We Be Soap Nuts and most everyone was receptive to the concept and purchased the “Trial” size wash bag.
One true story we had very nice Lady purchase a trial size wash bag on Saturday and was anxious to try them after the day of shopping she said she went strait home to do laundry and her husband was finishing up by putting the towels in the drier and didn’t set the timer long enough. Well to make a long stry short, the first thing she did in the morning was smell the wet towels and was an instant believer as they didn’t have an oder. She came back on Sunday and purchased a pound of We Be Soap Nuts and thanked us for introducing her to the best way to do laundry she’s ever tried. Our sincerest Thanks goes out to all of our patrons and welcome to the new freedom of washing clothes.
